Steward Assistance
Members are entitled to information and assistance with professional and legal rights on the job. If you are member of AFT KY 1360 and need help with open records requests, an appeal on personnel issues, third-party arbitration, or if you think that your legal rights have been violated, contact the Executive Director or Union Steward.
Professional Liability Coverage
The AFT provides up to one million dollars in professional liability coverage for each member. If you are sued while performing your job and your employer will not provide legal defense, you’re covered with AFT! Coverage starts after you have been a member for six months.

For legal advice and assistance to the union, AFT KY 1360 engages the firm of Craig Henry Law, one of the most prominent labor and education law firms in the state. Coverage starts after you have been a member for six months.

Monthly Dues
Current dues for faculty are $36/month; for administrative staff (salaried), $26; and for support staff (hourly; those who are required to complete a time sheet at work), $21.
