The American Federation of Teachers KY Local 1360 is pleased to announce that we are awarding two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships to members or family of members (see eligibility), applicable to any post-secondary institution. Scholarship awards must be used during the 26/27 academic year and can only be applied toward qualified education expenses per the IRS (e.g., tuition, fees, books, required equipment).

The criteria needed to be eligible for one of these scholarships are the following: (1) G.P.A. of at least 3.0, (2) membership in the union by the applicant or a member of their family, (3) the submission of an essay (see application), (4) enrolled in a degree seeking program for AY 26-27, and (3) an optional statement of activities.

Completed applications and all required documentation must be submitted by the end of day July 20, 2026. Winners will be decided by the Union Officers*.
Previous winners cannot apply.
*The decision of the Union Officers will be final.
